What makes your tea different?
The Neuroscience of Tea
We source single-origin teas selected for clarity of flavour and effect. No blends designed to mask quality. No unnecessary additions. Each tea is chosen because it does something specific — and does it well. -
Are your teas flavoured?
Why Purity Changes Everything
No. We don't add flavourings, oils, or artificial aromas. What you taste is the tea itself — shaped by its origin, altitude, and how it was processed. -
Where are they sourced?
The Origin
A place shaped by mist, forest, and time.Lin'an is a mountainous district near Hangzhou — one of China's most historically revered tea-growing regions. Surrounded by the forested hills of the Tianmu Mountain range, with a humid, misty climate and over 70% forest coverage, it creates the precise conditions that allow tea to develop depth, softness, and clarity of flavour. This is not a farm. It is an ecosystem.
FAQ
Orders
Do you ship across the UK?
Yes. We ship to all UK mainland addresses, including Scotland and Wales. Orders to Northern Ireland and remote postcodes may take slightly longer.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery: 2–4 working days. We'll send a confirmation with tracking once your order is dispatched. If something is delayed, we'll let you know before you have to ask.
How should I store my tea?
Keep it away from light, moisture, and strong odours. An airtight tin or sealed pouch in a cool cupboard is ideal. Avoid the fridge — condensation degrades the leaf. Stored correctly, most of our teas stay at their best for 12–18 months.

How does Tea Rituals approach evidence and observation?
Tea Rituals is shaped by careful reading, founder observation and respect for the leaf itself. My background in neuroscience informs how I think about attention, perception and sensory experience, but it does not turn tea into a promise. We focus on origin, processing, aroma, texture and the simple act of noticing what is in the cup.
How does your background influence the way you choose tea?
My background has made me attentive to detail, evidence and the conditions behind what we drink. I look for single-origin Chinese tea with clear provenance, careful processing, clean storage and a cup that rewards close attention. Taste matters, but so do origin, handling and trust.
Where can I read more about attention, observation and tea?
You can explore Tea Lab for essays and notes on single-origin Chinese tea, sensory experience, observation, origin and the way ordinary moments are met. It is a place for careful reading and curiosity, not certainty or prescription.
How is tea different from coffee?
Coffee and tea are different drinks, with different textures, pacing and sensory character. Whole-leaf tea invites attention to water, leaf, aroma, temperature and time. Rather than promising a particular effect, Tea Rituals focuses on the experience of the cup and the details it allows you to notice.
How should I store my tea to maintain its aroma and texture?
Tea leaves are incredibly sensitive to their environment—they easily absorb moisture, light, and nearby scents. To protect the subtle notes of wild honey, earth, or mountain air, keep your tea inside our original airtight tins, stored in a dark, cool cupboard away from spices or direct sunlight. Treat the leaves with the same quiet care you would give to a delicate fabric or a good book.
Do I need special equipment or a complex ceremony to brew your tea?
Not at all. High-grade, single-origin leaves benefit from thoughtful water temperature and a little attention, but you do not need an elaborate setup or strict rules. Begin simply: good water, enough leaf, a quiet moment and curiosity about what changes from one infusion to the next.
Who is Tea Rituals created for?
It is created for the highly observant, the sensitive, and the modern exhausted. If you feel overwhelmed by the constant digital noise, if your evenings feel heavy with fatigue, or if you simply value quiet utility and beauty, this space is for you. Tea Rituals is an invitation to slow down without guilt, to practice attention, and to design a gentler, more intentional atmosphere inside your own home.
Do you offer flavored teas or blends with artificial additives?
No. I deliberately choose not to offer teas altered by synthetic oils, artificial flavorings, or performative herbal blends. Our single-origin leaves possess an incredible natural complexity—tasting of wild honey, rain, orchid, or roasted wood, depending entirely on the soil and weather of that specific year. To experience the true ritual, we leave the leaf exactly as nature intended: unblended and honest.
Why is the brand focused on "rituals" rather than generic wellness?
With a background in neuro and life coaching, I see how modern overstimulation and attention fatigue exhaust our minds. Generic wellness often feels like another chore on a to-do list. A ritual, however, is simply an intentional pause. I designed Tea Rituals not to "fix" your life, but to offer a sensory anchor—a physical object and a slower way of existing that helps your nervous system step out of the noise.
How do you ensure the quality and safety of your tea?
Every single harvest offered by Tea Rituals is carefully sourced from small, independent farms and undergoes strict laboratory testing and certification. We verify that our leaves are completely clean, pure, and free from harmful pesticides, heavy metals, or artificial additives. I believe that a true tea ritual can only begin when you are absolutely confident in the purity and safety of what is in your cup.
What is the story behind "The Found Objects" collection?
These are unique pieces of teaware from my personal, evolving collection. Over the years, I have gathered them during my travels, from quiet antique markets, and through chance discoveries. I use and appreciate this tableware myself, and periodically update the selection on the site as I find new objects with a distinct weight, texture, or history. Each piece is thoroughly cleaned and offered here to find a second life in your home.
What is "Circulated Packaging" and how does it work?
It is our quiet gesture towards reducing modern waste. When you choose this option at checkout, your order will be mindfully packed using clean, sturdy materials—like kraft paper, boxes, or bubble wrap—that I personally salvage and iron from incoming supplier shipments. It delivers your tea safely without creating new, unnecessary packaging waste.
Do you have active discount codes or promotions?
I do not believe in artificial urgency, countdown timers, or constant promotional sales. Tea Rituals values fair pricing year-round that respects both the farmers' craft and the premium quality of the leaves. The only ongoing gesture we offer is a 5% thank-you discount toward your next order if you deliberately choose our "Circulated Packaging" option at checkout, helping us extend the life of our materials.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale orders?
Because our teas are rare, single-origin harvests sourced from small independent farms, our quantities are naturally limited. We do not offer traditional mass wholesale or bulk ordering. However, if you are looking to curate a quiet atmosphere for a small, intentional corporate event, a thoughtful retreat, or bespoke gifting, I would be glad to look at your request personally. Please reach out to me via our contact form.
Do you have retail store locations?
TEA Rituals is an intentionally small, independent online space. We do not have physical retail store locations. Operating exclusively online allows me to personally manage every harvest, curate our found objects, and maintain a quiet, focused relationship with each order. Everything is shipped directly from our studio to your hands.
