It was made to last. And it did.

Sampson Bridgwood began making ironstone in England in 1805. Ironstone was not chosen for elegance — it was chosen for endurance. A ceramic dense enough to survive daily use, decade after decade.

This pot survived.

Cylindrical, unhurried in its form. A dark olive lid. A thin line of gold at the shoulder — not decorative excess, just a quiet acknowledgement that something was worth finishing properly.

It was on a shelf. It did not need to stay there.

The price is symbolic. Some things are worth continuing simply because they endured long enough to be found.
