THE OBIDOS POT
THE OBIDOS POT
Not every object that carries history carries it quietly.
This one does not.
Albino d’Óbidos is a small ceramic workshop from Óbidos — a walled medieval town in Portugal where the tradition of hand-painted earthenware has continued for generations. Every piece leaves the workshop slightly different from the last. The hand that painted this one was not trying to be precise. It was trying to be present.
Cobalt blue. Terracotta. Turquoise. A geometric pattern that repeats without ever quite repeating.
It was found. It was kept. Now it is here — still loud, still warm, still entirely itself.
The price is symbolic. Some histories arrive quietly. Others arrive in colour.
Part of Found Objects — a curated collection of tea vessels with a history worth continuing.
